Altas Shrugged – The Coloring and Activity Book for ages 9 to 99

Friday, April 2nd, 2010

Our submission to a recent xtrapulp challenge is a  joint venture to capture the essence of Ayn Rand’s classic dystopian novel and make it accessible to our nation’s most impressionable minds in the form of a thought provoking coloring book. We aim to challenge young minds to consider their own self worth and place in society by revisiting some favorite scenes from this most influential book complete with coloring and thinking activities. It’s never too early to be exposed to such real world concepts as ambition, betrayal, lust, and the unraveling of the very fabric of society. We hope to equip the forthcoming generation with the tools necessary to jump right into our capitalistic society with hands reaching to take up the torch of industry. Don’t forget to download and color your very own copy here!

cephalopod tea party!

Tuesday, February 2nd, 2010

I love the blog cephalopod tea party. I love it so much, it apparently seeps into my mind
subconsciously while drawing. Anyhow, I got to pick this weeks xtra pulp challenge, Tea Party!
Which, I’m pretty excited about. I am trying to work in my sketch book more, and rely less
on Photoshop, but in the end, I had to try out some color variants. Not sure which I like.

Thoughts?

xtra pulp challenge 003

This week we illustrated dark dreams that have been haunting our waking memories long after
the sun has risen. Ava is once again ruminating on sea creatures, and the unexpected consequences
of bringing them home.

we have banded together with the talented folks over at xtrapulp once again to bring forth
a new weekly illustration theme challenge thing! our first challenge this week was to
make a quick drawing of what you think your last meal is going to look like. here are our
submissions!

Ava did this… delicious, but-oh-so-risky fugu sashimi.

Griffin did this… a bit more lowbrow, but still delicious and deadly nonetheless…

Also! Ava submitted her piece before anyone else so she now gets to choose what next week’s theme
will be. I haven’t the foggiest what it’s going to be so stay tuned.
